I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 27 on June 29, 2016.  I decided to blog about my experience fighting breast cancer in the hopes that I can help others out there, especially young women, who are diagnosed with breast cancer as well.

Running List of My Cancer Procedures

Here’s the sequence of procedures I’ve had so far. I’ll keep adding to this list as I continue treatment:

  1. Primary care doctor appointment for breast examination
  2. Breast ultrasound
  3. Mammogram
  4. Right breast core needle biopsy
  5. Breast MRI
  6. Left breast MRI needle biopsy
  7. Genetic testing (happened after I met with my first surgeon)
  8. Multiple instances of bloodwork and ultrasounds—(during egg freezing process)
  9. Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy & Sentinal Lymph Node Biopsy
  10. CMF Chemo treatments
  11. Breast reconstruction
